Lillian "Jean" Thomure

Lillian “Jean” (Brown) Thomure, age 94, of Bonne Terre, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sunday, January 16, 1927, to the late Chester P. Brown I and Genevieve (Evans) Brown-Rawson.

Jean was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her faith and family were important to her.  In her younger years, she enjoyed being out in the yard tending to her flowers, going fishing and camping. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Augustus “Gus” Edward Thomure, Jr., daughters, Kathy Wisdom and Sally Thomure; brother, Chester “Skip” Brown; nephew, Chester “Skipper” Brown; sister-in-law, Barbara Brown and step-father, Leaman “Pete” Rawson.   

Jean is survived by her beloved children, Connie Black and husband Randy, Judy Ballew, Nancy Gardenhire and husband David Black; sons in law, Terry Wisdom and Tom Fryman; grandchildren, Lisa McFarland, Linda Thomure, Erika Black, Susie Skaggs, Neal Hudson, Alicia Reagan, Clint Ballew, John E. “L.J.” Gardenhire, Jr., Darla Fryman, Chad Wisdom and Brad Wisdom; twelve great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
