It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Diana Lawrence, who passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the age of 74 in Desloge, Missouri. Born on Tuesday, December 25, 1951, Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, devoted grandmother, and cherished friend to many. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to her work as a meat cutter at Kroger in Leadington, Missouri, where her hard work and commitment were well known and deeply appreciated.
She is preceded in death by her parents John “JW” Walker and Dorothy (Weston) Walker; her beloved husband, Kenneth “Ken” Lawrence, siblings, Barbara Martin, Steve Walker, Sharon Wheeler and David Walker in infancy.
Linda was the heartbeat of her family, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was always there for those in need, exemplifying compassion and selflessness. Her love for entertaining came alive during summer BBQs and family gatherings, where laughter filled the air and everyone felt welcomed. Linda was deeply involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, offering unwavering support and a listening ear.
A woman with a quick wit, Linda had a knack for making others smile with her humor and advice, often punctuated with her favorite saying, “Just sayin’.” In her quieter moments, she found joy in playing Candy Crush on her tablet, but her greatest joy came from nurturing relationships and fostering connections among family and friends.
Linda is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa Stricklin-Lively (fiancé Patrick Bloom) and Renee Stricklin-Krolikowski and husband David, who will carry her legacy of love and kindness forward. Stepchildren, Kenneth Lawrence, Darren Lawrence and Jeffrey Lawrence; four grandchildren, Jeffery Lawrence, Jr., Jacob Lawrence, Kirsten Lawrence, and Gabriel Krolikowski; two great grandchildren, Kinsley Smith and Olivia Lawrence; siblings, Anthony “Tony” Walker and wife Martha, Brenda Lunsford and husband Danny, John “Pete” Walker and wife Robin, Kathy Jones and husband Wade, and Janice Guerrero, along with several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life of Linda will be held at a later date.
Linda’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be dearly missed.
