Lloyd "Sunny" Redwine

Sunny Redwine, 92, of Festus, passed away April 27, 2023, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre.  He was born September 14, 1930, in Herculaneum, to the late Opal Vinyard.  Sunny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a member of the VFW in Festus, and owner / administrator of Colonial Rest Home in DeSoto and later North Point Care Center in Festus.  Sunny enjoyed making jewelry, being outdoors and gardening with flowers.

He was preceded in death by his mother; loving wife, Eileen (Vessell) Redwine, who passed away in 2003; one son, Mark Redwine and wife Debbie.

Sunny is survived by two children, Carrie Miller and husband Lindell, Chris Redwine; three grandchildren, Amy Merseal, Dawn Merseal and Kenny Merseal; five great-grandchildren, Cameron Wilfong, Alyssa, Zachary, Olivia and Joshua Carroll.

Sunny’s wishes were to be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
