Lois Victoria Chamberlain, affectionately known as “Vickie,” passed away November 27, 2024, at the age of 75. Born September 19, 1949, near Ottery Creek in Belleview, Missouri, she was the beloved daughter of the late Elvie and Minnie (Litton) Harbison. On May 18, 1968, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jesse Chamberlain Jr. They were blessed with fifty-six years of marriage and together they raised four children: Jesse Chamberlain III (Jill) of Ironton, Missouri; Frank Chamberlain (Sandi) of Bismarck, Missouri; Sheila Walka (John) of Wellsville, Missouri; and Shannon Chamberlain (Teresia Dement) of Arcadia, Missouri. Vickie was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kayla Steele and Ryan and their daughter Vera Lois Steele; Dylan Chamberlain and Brittni and their son, Walker Creek Chamberlain; Shanna Lewis and Dustin; Jessica Smith and Austin; Colton Chamberlain; Dante Chamberlain; and Makayla Moise. Vickie is also survived by her five brothers: Lloyd Harbison (Reba) of Ironton, Missouri; Carl Harbison (Lenora) of Ironton, Missouri; Gale Harbison (Susan) of Belleview, Missouri; Chris Harbison (Pam) of Ironton, Missouri; and Tony Harbison (Jan) of Ironton, Missouri; and one sister, Tammie Crawford of Wappapello, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Harbison; three sisters: Joyce Browers, Brenda Helms, and Linda Gamble; and three brothers-in-law: Roger Helms, Larry Gamble, and Donnie Crawford; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Harbison. Vickie cherished her time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She retired to dedicate more time to her grandchildren, often cooking multiple meals to ensure everyone was happy. She truly enjoyed cooking. She was often heard to say, “If you will eat it, I will cook it.” Vickie had a passion for caring for others, working for fifteen years at the Baptist Home before retiring. She continued her dedication for caring for others by volunteering at the church food pantry. She was a devoted member of the Arcadia Valley Assembly of God. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Logan officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
