Lorene Connie Dunlap

         Lorene Dunlap, 87, of Leadwood, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. She was born November 12, 1928 in Brosley, to the late George and Ivy (Connor) Minks. In earlier days, Lorene loved to play the guitar and sing country and gospel music. She was also a member of the Wortham First Church of God.  

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Thomas Dunlap; son, Larry Dunlap; son-in-law, Kenny Perry; sisters, Irene Shipman, Betty Bedwell, Marie Bedwell; brothers, Odie Minks, Melvin Minks, Virgil Minks, Junior Minks.

            Lorene is survived by son, Thomas E. (Mary Ann) Dunlap of Leadwood; daughter, Diane (Dunlap) Perry of Desloge; grandchildren, Dale Thomas Dunlap of Desloge, Maria (Billy) Sansoucie of Park Hills, Kendra Perry of Clayton, Marissa Dunlap of Leadwood; great-grandchildren, Marrah Sansoucie, Noah Thomas Sansoucie, and Talyn Halter; a number of nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Cleo Counts officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the March of Dimes.
