Mrs. Lorene Ellen 'Cauley' Porter passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis County, MO., at the age of 85 years, 6 months & 14 days. Lorene was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Wortham, MO., & was the daughter of Jonathan Cicero Cauley and Melvina 'Woods' Cauley. Also preceding-in-death were her husband, James Luke Porter (1997); a sister, Wilma Hampton; a brother, Carl Cauley, and a grandson, Scott "Skippy" Porter (2006).
Lorene retired as Assistant Vice-President of Mercantile Bank of Potosi. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Leadwood, and was a member of the Farmington Presbyterian Manor "Cottage Club"
Survivors Include: 2 daughters - Donna Barnhouse, of Doe Run; Carla (& Dennis) Forinash, of Colorado Springs, CO. a son, Jim (& Debbie) Porter, of Irondale. a brother, Marvin (& Ruth) Cauley, of Cahokia, IL. 7 grandchildren: Dena Barnhouse, of Columbus, OH; Eric Barnhouse, of Doe Run; Jeremy Porter, of Irondale; Lindsay (& Matt) Jackson, of Bismarck; David Forinash, of Colorado Springs, CO; Erin (& Phil) Beck, of Denver, CO; Brandi (& Alex) Shibley, of Desloge. 2 great-grandchildren: Addyson Scott Porter & Lauren Rae Jackson. Also surviving, a 'Special Friend' - Peggy Freeman, of Farmington.
Visitation Thursday, 4-8 p.m. Visitation resumes Friday, 6:30 a.m.
Funeral : Friday, 2:00 p.m., April 22, 2011
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. William Bond officiating.
Interment : Doe Run Memorial Cemetery
