Louis Maxwell “Max” Graham of Libertyville, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Parc Prōvence, Creve Coeur, MO, at the age of 91. Max was born February 4, 1930, in Libertyville, MO, to the late Raymond “R.C.” and Antonia (Detring) Graham.  Max was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Alta “Ruth” (Douglas) Graham and an infant son Harvey Dean Graham, as well as his brothers William, Chester and Eugene Graham and sister Mabel “Toots” Eaves. Also preceded in death by sisters-in law, Mildred (Johnson) Graham and Glenda (Kiepe) Graham and his son-in-law, Larry Massie.

Max is survived by four daughters, Anna Marie Massie, Mary (Larry) Dickieson, Judy (Gene) Huber, and Bonnie (Matt) Belter; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Malva (Crowder) Graham.

Max loved farming almost as much as he loved Ruth, and they farmed near Libertyville for their entire lives, most recently raising Angus cattle. He also had a construction business and built numerous homes in Farmington. He also headed the maintenance department at Farmington Community Hospital (now Parkland Health Center) for 20 years.  He was a long time member, Deacon and Elder of Farmington Christian Church and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Farmington.  He was an active member and served a term as president of the Missouri Hospital Association’s Maintenance Engineers Society.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington. Family has requested those attending wear a mask. Burial to follow at Libertyville Christian Church Cemetery.
