Loyde Leo Terry, age 71 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in Fredericktown. He was born on June 12, 1945 in Nianqua, Missouri, a son of Earnest and Lucy (Graves) Terry. On July 3, 1963 in Springfield, Missouri he was united in marriage to Norma Jean Winkelman, she survives at the home. Other survivors include: three sons - Brian Terry of Fredericktown and Ernie (Janet) Terry also of Fredericktown and Alan (Amy) Terry of Paragould, Arkansas; one daughter - Melissa (Richard) Jordon of Fredericktown; one brother - Carlee Terry of Nianqua,, Missouri; two sisters - Pod (Ronald) Blankenship of Marshfield, Missouri an Fed Alexander also of Marshfield; two sisters-in-law - Myrtle Terry of Nianqua and LeAnn Terry of Morris, Illinois; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers - Russell, Jack, Jason and Mike Terry; sister - Jeri Bruce and sisters-in-law - Joyce Terry and Retha Terry; brothers-in-law - Don Alexander and Jack Bruce.
Loyde enjoyed fishing and going to yard sales and was famous for cooking steaks but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a charter member of the Fredericktown Faternal Order of Eagles 3758 and a member of the Fredericktown Lions Club.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Grace Church of the Heartland in Fredericktown with Pastor Carl Cureton officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 8, 2016 also at Grace Church. A private internment will be at the Good Springs Cemetery in Nianqua at a later date.
