Lula Zelma West, age 99 of Hannibal, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Luther Manor in Hannibal. She was born on October 14, 1917 in Ironton, Missouri, a daughter of John Henry and Rosa Ethel (West) Lashley. In Piggott, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Thomas Elsworth West, he preceded her in death on July 23, 1981; sons Roger Gary Lashley, John Thomas and George Lionel West also precedes her.
She is survived by one daughter & son-in-law - Rosemary & Keith Payne of Edina, Missouri; daughter-in-law - Shirley Lashley; three grandchildren - Melissa Lashley Payne, Dionne Leapley and Matthew Copeland; six great-grandchildren - Travis Payne and Kasey Payne, Jessie Moyers and Becky Moyers, Ethan Leapley and Emily Leapley; one great-great-granddaughter - Leanna Klecan.
Lula was a homemaker, she enjoyed working in her flower and vegatable gardens, cooking, going to auctions and was very active in her church where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Knob Lick, Missouri, but most of all she loved her family and the time she spent with them.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Fredericktown.
