Mabel Lorene Turner Montgomery

           Mabel Montgomery, 97, of Park Hills, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Country Meadows Nursing Home.  She was born on Wednesday, August 3, 1921 to the late Charles and Minnie (Salsman) Steelman. 

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fred Turner; three children, Larry Turner,  Dorothy Turner and Ed Turner; Grandchildren, LCPL Michael Bailey, Gina Ketcherside, Annissa Dunivan, Jamie Turner, Eva Ketcherside and Katy Dunivan

She was a longtime faithful member of the Bethel General Baptist Church.

Mabel is survived by her children, Fred (Cheryl) Turner of Crystal River, Florida, Maxine (Sonny) Lashley of Irondale, Ann (Terry) Butcher of Desloge, George (Martha) Turner of Lake Jackson, TX., Brenda (Curtis) Fondon of Columbia Lakes, TX., Gina (Brad) Blunt of Holt Summit, MO.; 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; special friend and companion, Delman Short.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff from Country Meadows, and Preferred Hospice.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday from 5 pm to 8 pm. Funeral service will be at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel Wednesday at 11 am with Rev. Sidney Laxton officiating. The interment will be at Stone Hill Cemetery in Dent County. Memorials may be directed to the Preferred Hospice.
