Mrs. Mabel Nadine West passed away at her residence Jan. 2, 2008, at the age of 81 years and 11 days. Mabel was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Tuckerman, Ark., & the daughter of Christopher C. Layton & Lena 'Ballard' Layton. Also preceding in death were: her husband, Kenneth Ray West, Sr., (04.17.2003); Sister, Grace Clark; Brother, Ralph Burt; 3 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; 1 Son In Law, James Lance; 2 Sisters-In-Law.

Mabel's interests were: Family; Oil Paintings; Scrapbooking & Quilting. Mabel was a member of the Sunnyview Church of Christ.

Survivors Include : her children: Pat West, of Farmington; Pam Crummitt, Granite City, IL; David (& Gulena) West, Bourbon, MO; Linda Lance, Granite City, IL; Kenneth (& Sheila) West, Duncan, OK; 1 Sister, Earnestine Cole, Rialto, CA; 16 Grandchildren; 23 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters-In-Law; several Aunts and many Nieces & Nephews. Also, many brothers & sisters in Christ and friends.

Visitation : Friday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes, Saturday at 7:00 a.m.

Funeral : Saturday, 1:00 p.m., January 5, 2008,

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Minister Jerry Reynolds officiating.

Interment follows at : St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Bonne Terre.
