Malendia Gene Yates

Malendia Gene Yates of Belleview, Missouri passed away January 12, 2021 at the age of 65 years. She was born March 24, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Charles and Charlcie (Lee) Yates. Malendia is survived by two children: Toni Marler (Jake) of Belleview, Missouri; and Cora Yates (Mark) of Park Hills, Missouri; her fiancé: Joe Ponte of Belleview, Missouri; four grandchildren: Rylee, Kaitlyn, Andrew, and Emmaline; two bonus grandchildren: Olivia and Elizabeth; her brother, Danny Yates of Belleview, Missouri; and a sister, Mary Ann Swaringim of Hogan, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Malendia was preceded in death by three brothers: Lee Yates, Edward Yates, and Charles "Tiny" Yates, and a sister: Sarah Yates, who passed away at birth. Malendia enjoyed collecting butterflies, was an avid reader, loved watching old show and comedies. She loved her grandbabies and helping others.
