Manda June Heberer, 85 of Desoto, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, July 16, 1938, and the daughter to the late Henry James and Sarah Ethel (Hancock) Nichol in Drury, Missouri. Manda attended the Primrose Baptist Church in Bonne Terre.

She was preceded in death by her late parents, and eight siblings.

Manda was a woman of many talents and passions. She excelled in her role as an office manager to various employers including the St. Louis Public School Board of Education, St. Louis Police Department, and accounting firms, and 18 years until her retirement with the St. Louis Archdioceses.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Manda found joy in a variety of hobbies. She had a knack for sewing and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that showcased her creativity and skill. Crocheting and cooking were also dear to her heart. Manda had a green thumb and took great pleasure in gardening and planting vibrant flowers that brought life and color to her surroundings. She had a special fondness for birdwatching and feeding the birds, appreciating the beauty and serenity they brought to her daily life. Manda was an avid sports fan, finding excitement in cheering on her favorite teams. She enjoyed watching the New York Yankees play baseball and passionately supported the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Blues hockey team.

Manda June Heberer will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 47 years Jerry Heberer, who shared countless precious memories and adventures with her. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Others that will cherish her memory are many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will also be leaving behind her precious fur babies, Useless and Jack that she took in and gave her devoted love to for many years, as well as supporting the Stray Rescue group at 2320 Pine St. St. Louis Missouri, 63103 where donations can be made in memory of Manda.

Throughout her life, Manda cultivated loyal friendships, none more special than that with her devoted neighbors and caregivers, Tony Freeman, and Nichole Horne. Their exceptional care, love, and support during Manda and Jerry’s later years were greatly appreciated and cherished.
