Margaret Prier, 71, of Leadwood, passed away at Country Meadows Nursing home in Park Hills, November 7, 2015. She was born April 21, 1944 in Frankclay. She was a retired nurse who worked in the healthcare field for over 30 years, and taking care of others, gave her great joy. Margaret was an avid crafter, she loved writing poems, and making cards for all of her family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovell and Marie Gillam; husband, Larry J. Prier; three sons, Michael, Tony, and James Prier; brother, Jesse Gillam; and brother in-law, Donald Murray. Margaret is survived by her three children, Dusty Prier of Farmington, Gina Bowman and husband Dan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Laurie (Barry Hosto) Hall of Ballwin; daughter in-law, Debbie Prier of Farmington; brother, Ronald Gillam and wife Ree of Festus; sisters in-law, Roberta Murray of Farmington, May Dean Edwards and husband Jim of Desloge, and Kathy Gillam; grandchildren, Seth Fudge, Olivia Hall, Lacie and Donnie Doughty, Sidne, Phillip and baby Elsie Walker, Chloe Bowman, Lillie and Thomas Prier, Jennifer Hall Swirnarski, and Patrick Hall; many nieces, nephews, special friends and loved ones also survive. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Park Hills, Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Deacon Michael Burch officiating.
