Margaret Ruth Gore

Margaret Ruth Gore, 73, of Bonne Terre, passed away October 4, 2022, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus.  She was born January 18, 1949, in St. Louis, to the late Harry Clifford and Roxie Margaret (Hulsey) Skaggs.  Margaret was a 27-year employee at Kroger’s Grocery Store in Leadington.  She enjoyed her retirement by camping, fishing, watching scary movies, crafting, playing cards, and the fern she received annually from her son.  Margaret loved most, spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Van, Johnny and Bobby; one sister, Mick.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gerald Gore; children, Victor “Scott” Bishop and wife Misti, Shelly Bishop, Tonya Gore, Chris Gore and wife Gwen, Bobby “Bob” Gore and wife Paula; grandchildren, Dustin, Megan, Ashton, Morgan, Billie-Jean, Victoria, Jordyn, JT, Alexandria, Sara, Samantha, Larry III, Ayden, Josh, Jared, Kyra, Adam, Matthew and Maggie; great-grandchildren, Leighton, Bryson, Alexia Rose, Mia and Liam; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her lake lot friends – “The Golden Girls.”

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The service will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, with Pastor Jim Chilton officiating.  Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
