Margaret Ann Sherrill

Margaret Ann Sherrill of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away February 16, 2022 in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 68 years. She was born to the late Rodney and Nadine (Brewster) Mills on August 9, 1953 in Ironton, Missouri. Margie is survived by two sons: Joseph Sutton of Ironton, Missouri and Jeremiah Lee Sutton and wife, Amee of Mio, Michigan. She is also survived by her sister Stella Firebaugh of Piedmont, Missouri. She is fondly called “Nana” by her four grandchildren: Hunter Lea Sutton, Selena Jade Sutton, Jacob Zackariah Sutton, and Jerica Lee Sutton, and her great grandson Axel Stone Carey. Margie will also be missed by many relatives and beloved friends. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her daughter: Selena Sutton and four brothers: Tommy Mills, Mike Mills, John Mills, and Joey Mills. Margie was a 1971 graduate of South Iron High School. She devoted her life to her family. She has an abundance of unconditional love for her two sons, Joseph and Jeremiah and especially took pride encouraging and guiding her granddaughters Hunter and Selena. For many years, she enjoyed working at The Baptist Home and Little Whiskers. Some of Margie’s passions were going to the river, displaying her amazing “green thumb” in her large vegetable garden where she also grew beautiful flowers. Above all, she loved caring for and cuddling with her dogs, Nelly Olson and Sam Crow. She had quite the green thumb and loved her flowers and huge garden. Margie loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially loved caring for her great grandson, Axel. Margie’s faith was strong as a born again Christian and she built a solid foundation in her church home. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
