Margie Bryan of Desloge, passed away at her home on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the age of 87. She was born on March 25, 1928 in Blytheville, AR, to the late Oscar T. Blankenship and Inez (Forbis) Blankenship Lane. Margie worked for 30 years at State Hospital #4 in Farmington and was a long time member of Desloge United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Bryan whom she married in 1946; one son, Joseph Shelton “Noot” Bryan; one sister, Mary Ann Loyd formerly of Natchez Mississippi; two very special sisters-in-law, June Harris and Mary Giessing.
Margie was a loving and devoted mother to Susan (Dave) Dix of Desloge, Bill (Dani) Bryan of Bonne Terre, and Bob Jr (Katie) Bryan of Valles Mines who survive. Margie is also survived by grandchildren, Kim Kassabaum (her special granddaughter and caregiver), Bryan (Tabatha) Kassabaum, Stacey (Shawn) Kay, Michelle (Nick) Mullins, Bill Bryan Jr., Dan (Jackie) Bryan, Eric (Sarah) Bryan, Jake and Wesley Bryan, and Stephanie Compton; great-grandchildren, Michael Dix, Clayton and Alainie Kassabaum, Brad, Jordan, and Ava Bryan, McKenzy and Ethan Bryan, Hadleigh Bryan, Emily, Drew, Thad, Sawyer Kay, Grant and Cole Mullins, and Trevor Compton.
The family will accept friends at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Reverend John Swatosh will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center or Shop With A Cop Program.
