Margie Ruth Decker passed from the loving arms of her family into the loving arms of her Savior at the age of 90 in Sapulpa, OK on May 6, 2025. Margie was born the youngest of six children to Thomas and Ethel Miller on October 5th, 1934, in Tallapoosa, Missouri.
Margie married the love of her life, J.L. Decker, on July 16, 1949. Together they had 10 children and remained faithfully by his side for over 36 years until his death in 1985.
Margie spent her life caring for others, her children, grandchildren and her patients. She was the light in every room she entered and always made every activity fun for everyone there. From taking cross-country road trips with her grandchildren to being there for every important event possible in all of their lives. Margie traveled extensively and enjoyed exploring new places with the people she loved and hopefully instilling her sense of mischief in them.
Margie has been reunited in Glory with those that have preceded her in death. her husband J.L. Decker, her parents Thomas and Ethel Miller, her sons J.L. Jr. and Donnie Decker, her five siblings and their spouses as well as her husband’s six siblings and their spouses that loved her as their own sister.
Margie is survived by eight of her children Thomas (Rose) Decker, Ronnie (Sandra) Decker, Terri (David) Irvin, Pamela (Gene) Gouyd, Patti (Jeff) Paddock, Cynthia (James) Kerlegrand, Randy Decker and Gary (Cheri) Decker; 27 grandkids, 57 great-grandkids and 27 great-great-grandkids plus many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 Noon with her minister Rev. Noah Marshall and her grandson, Christopher Gouyd officiating. Burial to follow at Saint Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
