It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jane Selzer, age 97, of Bonne Terre. Jane passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at Country Meadows in Park Hills, surrounded by loving memories and the warmth of her family. Born on August 29, 1928, in Bonne Terre, Jane was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Durocin) Durovcik. Throughout her life, she embodied kindness and compassion, qualities that touched everyone she met. As a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Hills, she found joy and purpose in her faith and community involvement. Together with her late husband, William Grundmann, Jane volunteered for “Meals on Wheels” and Parkland Hospital, dedicating her time to serving others. Jane was an avid reader and cherished her travels, always ready to explore new places and create lasting memories. Her spirit of adventure and love for knowledge inspired her family and friends alike.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her first husband, Jack Selzer; second husband, William Grundmann, Jr.; sisters, Sue Emmons, Ann Bulno, Eleanor Kristofer and baby Anna in infancy.
Jane is survived by sons Bill Grundmann and wife Robyn, Barry Grundmann and wife Debbie, Bob Grundmann and wife Tammy, Brad Grundmann and wife Randi; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; nephews, John Bulno, Dave Bulno and wife Donna; niece, Linda Hubrick; cousin, Carolyn Selzer-Marler; several other family members and friends also survive.
A memorial visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Park Hills, Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Pastor Jeremy May will be officiating. A private family burial will take place at Bonne Terre Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed in honor of Jane’s memory to Trinity Lutheran Church’s music department at 309 Taylor Ave, Park Hills, MO 63601 or Bonne Terre Cemetery at PO Box 312, Bonne Terre, MO 63628.
As we remember Jane, we find comfort in her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with all of us. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
