Marilea
Orum
Mar 5, 1938 — Sep 1, 2026
The lovely Mrs. Marilea Orum, my grandma, my friend, the fanciest lady I've ever known. Her spirit crossed over to the other side on September 1st, 2026.
And it is just like her to pick a number one day to go. :)
I am going to miss her flowy skirts, fancy hats, and the lingering smell of her Estée Lauder following her every move.
She was a genuine entrepreneur, with her many businesses throughout her lifetime, but one that held forever was with her piano, and all those she got to teach. I can hear her singing now as I say that. She had a love for the opera, and as a young girl I always looked to her the way most do with the famous. But I think all grandmas deserve that light too. She was married to her King, our grandpa Orum, who I know was first to greet her. At least that's my vision to have. He kissed the ground she walked on, and all her toes. They were lucky to have one another, and it was a blessing to witness.
She was an artist who painted, and took pictures capturing many memories, from weddings to turning all her grandkids into her models.
She inspired, she spoke tough love, and she gave what she could.
She was surrounded by the best who took care of all her last days and I know she was exactly where she wanted to be before she left.
Marilea leaves behind a family that will carry her forward for generations. She is survived by her 6 children; Alicia, Brenda, Debbie, Marilynn, Robert, and Steven; 14 grandchildren; TJ, Corey, Kristen, Rick, Emily, John, Marrissa, Tracey, Tabitha, Jeremiah, Joshua, Casey, Danny, and Stephanie; 30 great-grandchildren; Ashley, Jaden, Karter, Jasper, Declan, Harrison, Carson, David, Jon, Noah, Micah, Alyssa, Hallie, Gavin, Corey, Nicholas, Andrew, Trenton, MaryJane, Savannah, Ivanka, James, Joshua, Alana, Zuri, Cash, Elias, Giovanni, Isaiahs, and Stevan; and 6 great-great-grandchildren; Jamie, Parker, Morgan, Kaeden, Aria, and Storm.
Our beloved Marilea gets to be with us in spirit, guide us where she can, and be grateful for all the parts she got to leave for us to love her for. God's got her and all of us. Stay grateful, stay kind, be your authentic selves- love those that do even more, and love like they are never gone.
