Mark Jenkins

Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Lynn Jenkins, a beloved husband, dad, 'Pa-Pa', brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Mark was born on Friday, July 27, 1956, in St. Charles, to the late Marcus and Virginia Lee (DeGrant) Jenkins. Mark left this world on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the age of 70. He resided in Desloge, where he was cherished by all who knew him.

Mark faced life's challenges with strength and resilience. Having lost his mother at a young age, he was blessed with a loving stepmother, Evelyn, who provided him with enduring love and support throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his stepmother, Evelyn Jenkins; brother, James "Jim" Jenkins, Sr.; brother-in-law, Robert Cole; and parents-in-law, Don and Anna (Merritt) Nations.

Mark was a dedicated professional with 36 years of service as a route salesman for Clean Uniform, earning lasting relationships and a well-deserved reputation for integrity. A devoted member of New Heights Church in Farmington, he held his faith close to his heart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Carolyn (Nations) Jenkins; their son, Marcus Jenkins, and daughter-in-law, Lindsey, whose companionship brought him immense joy. He was a proud 'Pa-Pa Mark' to Connor and Evelyn Jenkins, and his greatest delight was spoiling them with love and affection. Mark also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Ruth Cole and Joyce (Dennis) Calloway; brother-in-law, Don (Le Ann) Nations; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

In his free time, Mark found solace in the great outdoors, especially camping and fishing at the Mine La Motte Recreation Association. His adventurous spirit and generous heart touched everyone he met.
