Mark Allen Vomund

Mark Allen Vomund, age 55, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2016 at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born on March 30, 1961 in Troy, Missouri, a son of Paul Matthew and Joan Fay (Zlotopolski) Vomund.      He is survived by one son - Nathan Vomund of Fredericktown; his parents - Paul & Joan Vomund also of Fredericktown; sister & brother-in-law - Donna Marie & Jerry Dane Smith - High Ridge, Missouri and three nephews and two nieces.       Mark was a United States Army Veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne; he later received his degree in music and accepted the position of Music Proffesor at the Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and music; he was of the Catholic faith.      Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Jefferson Barracks Veteran Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
