Mark Richard Yount

Mark Richard Yount, age 38 of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Mexico, Missouri passed away at his home on Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was born June 26, 1981 in Mexico, the son of Michael R. and Kathryn C. (Scheihing)Yount. He is survived by his parents; Mike & Kathy Yount of Fredericktown; sisters – Michelle Yount of Mexico and Melody Yount of St. Louis, Missouri and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His grandparents, Rev. Chris and Kathry Scheihing and Ray and Ann Yount precedes him in death. Mark graduated from Mexico High School in 1999 and then obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Columbia College. He worked in Computer Graphic Design for twelve years at the the University of Missouri and part-time at Pier 1 in Columbia. He was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church in Mexico. He liked to garden, cook and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Being an artist he loved painting and taking photos. A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 4, 2019 also at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Ostrom officiating. An additional visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown with graveside services following at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown.
