God has just called a precious, special angel back to him in heaven, our mom, grandma, great and great great grandma, sister, aunt, friend Martha Mildred (Dunlap) Green on April 28, 2013 at the age of 93.She is at peace now resting with God, our dad, Leslie, Cory, infant James and other family and friends who have already entered heaven. She was born October 14th, 1919 in Wortham, Mo. to the late Thomas Leonard and Isabelle (Clark) Dunlap.She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Eugene Green, Grandsons Leslie L Highley III, and Infant James E Green and Great grandson Cory Richards, Brothers Clifford "Doc" Dunlap , Joseph "Sam" Dunlap, Lester T Dunlap , Sisters,Jessie Bradley, Violet Beckett, Ruby Graves, Georgia Lawson, Zelda Juergensmeyer, Leona York.Surviving are the following children, Ruth Richards of Leadwood, James (Jim) E Green and Diana of Desloge, Pastor Ralph Edgar Green and Judy of Park Hills, and Sandi and Mark Saurage of Farmington, twelve special grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Carl "Tug" and Erma Dunlap of Frankclay and Obie Dunlap; one sister Hilma Ray Roderick of Wentzville and 2 sister-in-laws Lorene Dunlap and Helen Green and many other family and friends.Martha was an LPN and worked at MARMC for 15 years. She had great strength, love and compassion in her nursing job and also in her daily life. She was a faithful member of the Wortham First Church of God and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.She loved Bible School, Camp Inspiration and the Womans WCSC. She was a precise quilter having hand quilted many "baby" quilts and sweater sets for her family plus many special handmade quilts for all her children to cherish.Mom was always making awesome cinnamon rolls, peanut butter roll, divinity, turtle cakes, holiday cookies and candy for everyone to enjoy.Our mom will never be forgotten. She was a wonderful, respected person and we love her and will miss her very much. We know she will be watching over all of us from heaven.Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge Tuesday April 30, 2013. Visitation will resume Wednesday May 1, 2013 from 9 am to funeral service time 1 pm at the Wortham First Church of God with Rev. Cleo Counts officiating the service. Interment will follow at the Leadwood Cemetery. Per family request memorials can be made to the Memory Care Unit at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington or to the Wortham First Church of God Childrens programs.
