Mary May Copeland

Mary May Copeland, age 92 of Fredericktown (formerly of Richwoods, Missouri) passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at ClaRue DeVille Nursing Center in Fredericktown. She was born on September 23, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri to Oather and Effey (Cannon) Byerley.

She was united in marriage to Donald John Copeland Sr., he preceded her in death on January 2, 1987.

She is survived by her three children – Donald Copeland Jr. of Richwoods, Carol Ridden of Villa Ridge, Missouri and Mary Lou Hendrickson of Robertsville, Missouri; one brother – Fred Raymond Byerley Sr. and wife, Sandy of St. Louis County; sixteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son – Emmett Copeland Sr., one daughter – Sandra O'Brien and one sister – Myrtle Beeham.

Mary was a homemaker, she enjoyed staying home and taking care of her family; she enjoyed flower gardening and watching the birds.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Sunset Hills
