Mary E. Griffin

Mary Ellen Griffin, 68, of Bonne Terre, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 16, 1943 in Bonne Terre, Missouri. She was employed with Wal*Mart for sixteen years, her last position working as a door greeter. Mary is preceded in death by parents Hardy and Esther (Booher) McCord; brothers Bill McCord and Bud McCord; and son Ricky Griffin. Mary is survived by husband E.L. Pete Griffin; four children Allen Griffin of Jefferson City, Henry "Jim" and wife Kim Griffin of Valles Mines, Mary and husband Scott Lord of Bonne Terre, and Lee Griffin of Texas; grandchildren Jacob and Justin Griffin, and Kyle and Kayla Lord; brothers Robert McCord and wife Hilda of Herculaneum, Ferral McCord of Desloge; sister Shirley Smith of Bonne Terre; and special friends Shelly Chrisco and Nancy Hudson. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 5 p.m. Service will be Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Robert Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Little Vine cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital.
