Mary Jane Gale of Black, Missouri, passed away January 2, 2026, in Pilot Knob, Missouri at the age of 91 years old. She was born March 21, 1934, in Lone Rock, WI, the daughter of the late Donald and Dora (Webster) Reagles.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert Gale. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Katherine Reagles Summers, Barbara Reagles Boerke, Donna Reagles Young Tempkin and Thomas Reagles.

Mary Jane is survived by her brother, Dr. Kenneth Reagles, and his wife, Dr. Susan (Simonson) Reagles of Naples, FL, and Tom's wife, Ginger (Crook) Reagles, of Breckenridge, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

While Mary Jane did not have any biological children of her own, she claimed Robert's daughter, Gail Ward, as her own. Gail and her husband, George Ward, who reside in New Statesboro, Georgia, were both very special to Mary Jane.

Mary Jane worked for the City of Evanston, IL, in the Water Department for many years. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed her many pets, gardening, spirited conversations and her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held in the spring at the Button Cemetery near Lone Roack, Wi.
