Mary Johnson

          Mary Kathleen Johnson, of Park Hills, was called to heaven on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born Sunday, September 19, 1926, in Salem to the late Arby Stephens and Mary Ellen (Halbrook) Stephens-Grogan.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Johnson, Jr.; son, Mike Johnson; sister, Grace (Delmar) Harris.

          Mary and Harold were married for 47 years and were blessed with five children, Juanita (Keith) Branch, late Mike (Sue) Johnson, Mary (Jim) Moore, Russell Johnson, Charlie (Julie) Johnson; step-children, Jim Johnson and Maria Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other family and friends, also survive.      

          Mary was a member of Esther Baptist Church. She loved sitting outside watching her grandchildren and all the neighborhood kids run and play.  She also enjoyed bird watching and Cardinal baseball. We may be bias, but she was the most giving and kind loving mom, wife, and person you could ever meet.            

          Visitation will be held for family and friends from 9:00 AM until service time of 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Burial to follow at Saint Francois Memorial Park.
