Mrs. Mary Katherine Smith passed away Saturday evening, December 6, 2008, at Parkland Health Center, South, in Farmington, at the age of 80 years, 9 months & 17 days. Mary was born on February 19, 1928, in Madison County, MO., & was the daughter of Amos & Bessie 'McDuffee' Ruh. Also preceding in death were: her husband, Howard F. Smith (1963); 1 Son, Howard Smith, Jr. (2002) & 1 brother, Norman Ruh.

Mary was a member of The Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors Include : 2 Daughters, Patricia Edwards, of Park Hills and Pamela Smith, of Farmington. 1 Son, Gale Smith & fiance' Patty Koehler, both of Fredericktown. 3 Grandchildren: Travis Pinson, of Park Hills; Kelly 'Mrs. Eric' Cole, of Desloge & Craig Smith, of Kentucky. 2 Great-Grandchildren: Abbygale & Isabelle Cole. Also surviving are Special Friends, Paul & Rowena Pannabaker, of St. Louis.

Visitation : Monday, 5-9 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday at 6:30 a.m.

Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., Dec. 9, 2008,

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL with Rev. Daniel Nicholson officiating.

Interment : Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington.
