Mary Kennon, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023, at the age of 78. She was born on November 3, 1945, in Bonne Terre, to the late Thomas Melvin and Bertha Diana (Haney) Hayden. Mary resided in Desloge, for the majority of her life. Mary was also preceded by husband, Bob Kennon; siblings, Richard, Bertha, Leroy, Ralph and Thomas Hayden.

Mary was a hardworking individual who dedicated her professional career to labor-intensive jobs. She found fulfillment as a factory worker at FMA in Farmington, as well as several others. In her free time, Mary enjoyed engaging in various leisure activities. She was an avid Bingo enthusiast and derived pleasure from playing “The Price Is Right” on Facebook, as well as watching the Game Show Network. During her younger years, Mary had a fondness for the thrill of casinos. She enjoyed trying her luck at the slot machines and engaging in the excitement. Those who knew her best will remember her enthusiasm and laughter as she relished these moments of entertainment.

Mary leaves behind a cherished family who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is survived by her loving daughter, Diana Crowell, who will forever be grateful for her nurturing and unwavering support. Additionally, her brother Donald (Bertha) Hayden; sister Betty Bisch; and one son, Gary Perry. Mary’s legacy extends to her two precious granddaughters, Brandi (Chris) Portell and Taylor Thomas, who brought immense joy into her life.

Mary’s departure from this world leaves us with heavy hearts, but her memory will forever be a beacon of strength and love. May she rest in peace, knowing the profound impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her. Per Mary’s wishes, no services to be held. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
