Mary Lee (Copeland) Mounce

          Mary Lee Mounce, 91, of Park Hills, passed away in the arms of Jesus on Friday, August 12, 2022. She was born on Saturday, May 30, 1931, in Leeper, MO. to the late Cyrus and Birtia (Cavender) Copeland. A beautician for 68 years, she owned and operated Mary Lee’s Beauty Shop out of her home in  Desloge. Mary Lee also worked as a Nurse's Aide and Medical Technician.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Mounce; siblings, Edwin “Dag” Copeland, Leroy Copeland, Clyde Copeland, Bill Copeland and Charles Copeland in infancy; son’s in law, Robert “Poncho” Neubauer, Charlie Wigger and Leslie Koenig; two grandsons, Christopher Wigger and Kevin Watson; two great-granddaughters, Sarah Gill and Oakley Rose Carlyon.

          Mary is survived by her six children, Dianne (Paul) Carlyon, Vicky Neubauer, Kathy Wigger, Angel Eaves, Larry (Erica) Furry and Lana (Freddie) Alderman.

          Mary was an avid dancer and quilter but most of all, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mary aka “Grandma” was very proud of her 101 grandchildren, including great and great-great. Mary had a very special bond with her nieces and nephews. She considered all of her friends as family and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until service time of 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Ed Watson officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonne Terre.
