Matthew "Matt" David Hammer

          Matthew Hammer, 39, of Lemay, passed away September 20, 2019.  He was born on April 30, 1980 to Phillip and Mary Ann (Ancy) Hammer in Columbia.  He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blue’s and the Mizzou Tigers.  He enjoyed cooking and eating anything his Aunt Annette prepared.  Matt was a caring person who was always there to lend a hand to someone in need.  He was also an avid dog lover.     

          Matt was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Hammer and maternal grandparents, Steve and Rose Ancy.    

          He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Ann Hammer; fiancé, Shannan Gibson; her sons, Kevin Rulo Jr. and Trey Gibson; her two grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins along with his beloved dog Lola.
