Mavis Rose Mooney

Mavis Rose Mooney passed away October 16, 2018 at The Baptist Home at the age of 96 years. She was born December 4, 1921 in Caledonia, Missouri to the late Jesse Robert Akers and Ethel (Compton) Akers. On December 2, 1942 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Franklin Mooney who preceded her in death on August 21, 2015. Mavis is survived by two daughters; Kathy Mooney of Los Angeles, California, and Dree Krafft and husband Bob of Largo, Florida, her sister; Mary Ann Knight of Ironton, Missouri, her brother and sister-in-law, Al and Joyce Mooney of Los Angeles, California, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as a host of other family members and friends. Mavis was preceded in death by one son, Michael Paul Mooney, and her brother, Jesse "Edward" Akers. Mavis attended church at The Baptist Home. She enjoyed playing golf, cooking, and reading. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Baptist Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Wills officiating. Memorials...
