May Thompson

May Thompson, age 94, of Eureka, formerly of Pevely, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at St. Andrews at Francis Place in Eureka. She was born on Tuesday, April 9, 1929, in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Arthur Thompson; daughter-in-law, Theresa Thompson; siblings, Ruth Kraft, Marie Stewart who raised May, Marge Baker, John Marquette, Fred Marquette and George Marquette.

May was a devoted homemaker throughout her life, finding joy in taking care of her family. May was a woman of faith and found great comfort in her Baptist beliefs. She took solace in reading her Bible, finding guidance and strength in its pages. Her unwavering faith was a source of inspiration to those who knew her.

May is survived by her children, Ruth Guise and John Thompson; grandchildren, Michelle Sickbert, Patricia Sickbert and Douglas Sickbert; great-grandson, Chase Sickbert, that will cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until time of service of 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorials if desired can be made in May’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
