Melba Rose Gibson from St. Louis MO passed away January 26, at the age of 74. She was born on November 24, 1947. Melba was the caregiver to her older sister Kay Payne. Melba was preceded in death by her father and mother Melvin and Mildred, sister Regenia Payne, brother Melvin Jr, grandson Zachery Gibson and great-grandchild Khloe Vogelpohl.

She was married to Ronald Elmer Gibson, and was the beloved mother to two children Ronnetta (Robert) Abel and Terry (Erica) Gibson, 7 grandkids Alex (Melissa), Donny, Ladonna, Frank (Alex) Zachery and Shelby and 11 great-grandkids Madison, Khloe, Alex Jr, Zoe, Tori, Leeonna, Phoenix, Aiden, Brynley, Kayden and one more on the way. Melba had 6 siblings Regenia (Doyle) Payne, Norselene (Don) Marshall, Kay (Charles) Payne, Melvin Jr-DL (Wanda) Albert, Ronnie (Rosemary)Albert and Terry (Pam) Albert, 17 nieces and nephews Vickie, Bellva, Doylene, Russell, Joe, Diane, Colleen, Charles, Carl, Dawn, Tracey, Christopher, Darin, Richard, Ronnie, Shelly, and Brandi and 2 fur babies Cece and Teddy. 
Melba loved spending time with her family making memories and loved all Holidays. Melba will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We are truly blessed to have had Melba in our life for so many years! Until we meet again, love and hugs!

     Melba's wishes were to be cremated. Funeral services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:15 AM.  The family will have a Celebration of Life in Spring/early Summer. We will update the date and time when it becomes available. Arrangements under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Farmington.
