Melvin Russell Crowell 'Russ'

Russell "Russ" Crowell age 80 of Webster Groves, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was born on August 1, 1936 in Fredericktown, Missouri, a son of Ralph and Pearl Elizabeth (Sample) Crowell.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers - Malcolm and Danny Crowell.        He is survived by his two children - David Crowell and wife Rebecca of Oakland, Maryland and Amy Hawkins and husband Keith of St. Louis; three brothers - Larry Crowell of Eolia, Missouri, Lonnie Crowell, Keith Crowell, and Ronald Crowell all of Fredericktown ; one sister - Vonda Bingham of Fredericktown and four grandchildren - Tyler and Tia Hawkins and Sadie and Sage Crowell.      Russ had worked as a machinist for Boeing Aircraft Company in St. Louis.  He enjoyed flying, doing yard work and target shooting, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.      Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Michael officiating.  Internment will be at the Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.       Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.  Condolences may be posted on this website.
