Michael Cross

Michael Cross, 59 of Desloge, passed away April 10, 2014 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 21, 1954 in Bonne Terre. Mike was a MABA Coach for 12 years and coached our local all star Senior Babe Ruth team to a State Championship in 1999. He was also a member of Local UAW #110. Mike was an avid motorcyclist who always enjoyed riding lead. (A.K. A. "The Human GPS")Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Edna "Sis" (Mahurin) Cross; stepson, Brad Hurtz; and beloved uncles, Sam and Pat Mahurin.Mike is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Gordon) Cross; sons, DeWayne, Dereck and Danny Cross; two step daughters, Amy Miller and Rachel Hurtz; grandchildren, Brandon, Maggie, Jeffery, Estelle, Gage, Megan, Tucker, and Addie; siblings, Paul Cross, Cheryl (Mrs. James) Teasley, and Carol (Mrs. Dennis) Winch.Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the Chapel, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Chaplain James Teasley officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials may be directed to St. Francois County Relay for Life.
