Michael Lombardo

         Michael Lombardo, 67, of Desloge, formerly of St. Louis, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at National Healthcare of Desloge. He was born Friday, October 22, 1948 in St. Louis. He loved music demonstrating his talents as a singer, song writer, and instrumentalist. Michael was a founding member of The Aerovons, a St. Louis based group referred to as “the American Beatles”, he was also a member of a group called, The Secrets.

            He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora (Taff) Lombardo; brothers, Bill Lombardo and Tom Lombardo.

            Michael is survived by his daughters, Kim Russell and husband Kevin, Alicia Edmond and husband Greg, and Gina Vaughn and husband Jerry; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; father, August Lombardo; sisters, Vincenza Groves and husband David and Lisa Suzor and husband Bo; and mother of his daughters, Betty (Emmett) Shoemake; step-daughters, Christine Wood Roberts and Cary Wood Harralston and their mother, Shirley Dee Thomas.

            Private services were held celebrating Michael’s life. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge, MO.
