Michael "Mike" Wayne Schaffer

           

            Michael “Mike” Wayne Schaffer, 64, of Farmington, passed away September 21, 2018, at his residence  in Farmington.  He was born April 11, 1954 in Bonne Terre, to the late Richard and Janet (Propst) Schaffer..   

            In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Schaffer and one sister, Nancy Schaffer.

            Mike was an owner of A-One Plumbing in Farmington for 30 years.

            Mike loved music and he could play many instruments but his guitar was his favorite.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle through the country side, fishing and baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.

            Mike is survived by his wife, Karen “Kaie” Sue (Kopp) Schaffer; children, Michael Wayne Schaffer, II, Teia Schafer, Nathaniel (and wife, Michelle) Schaffer and Matthew Schaffer; son-in-law, Clinton Roberts; seven grandchildren, Isaak and Eliza Schaffer, Renée, Tianna, Clinton, Jr., Lyla and Arya Roberts; brothers, Steven Robinson and David Robinson; sister, Deborah Schaffer and Merideth Brock.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home Caldwell Chapel, 711 East Main St.,  in Park Hills, Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Layne Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Gideon’s.
