Michele Wood

Karen Michele Wood, 77, of Potosi passed away January 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born April 4, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Theodore G. and Verna Imogene (Bohrer) Jones. Michele was of Lutheran faith. She retired from Mineral Area Regional Medical Center after 40 years as a surgical nurse. She loved to travel with her children, Laura and Matt, as well as her close friends, Pat and Diane. She enjoyed tending to her large koi pond and spending time with her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, John Kollmeyer and one brother, Steve Jones.

Michele is survived by her husband, James A. “Jim” Wood; two children, Laura (Shawn) Caldwell and Matthew Kollmeyer (Scott Morrow); one grandson, Connor Caldwell; sister-in-law, Sue Jones; niece, Erica Bertram.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 9:30AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Chaplain Barbara Tumminia officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Farmington. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
