Michiko "Mitch" Burns

          Michiko “Mitch” Burns (Ejima), 79, of Park Hills, passed away November 16, 2021, peacefully at her home, with her family by her side.  Mitch, as she was known by all, was born August 17, 1942 in Sasebo, Japan (Nagasaki Prefecture), to her late parents, Sentaro Ejima (father) and Yoshiko Ejima (mother).   She was a seamstress for JCPenny’s and a business owner of Michiko’s Alterations, for over 20 years.  Mitch loved to travel in the United States and around the world, with her husband and children.  Mitch was also a huge sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, especially Yadier Molina, as well as the St. Louis Blues hockey.

          Mitch is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Ronald C. Burns, whom she met when Ron was in the Navy and married in 1965; three sons, Wayne Burns and wife Julie of Winfield, John Burns and wife Claudia of Ballwin, Thomas Burns and fiancé Elizabeth of Park Hills; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, older brother, Yasahiro Ejima; younger brothers, Tadayoshi Ejima and Tatsayuki Ejima; younger sister, Reiko Ejima, all of Sasebo Japan; many other family members also survive.  Mitch was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.

          A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, December 4, 2021, from noon until the service time at 3:00 PM.  Pastor Pati Robertson will be officiating.
