Mildred B. DeGonia of Ironton, Missouri passed away May 15, 2018 in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 97 years. She was born February 20, 1921 in Arcadia, Missouri the daughter of the late Willie H. and Mary L. (Mecey) Myracle. On August 10, 1940 she was united in marriage to James E. DeGonia. After seventy-six years of marriage he preceeded her in death on April 26, 2017. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Cheri Joan Lee and her companion, George Coleman of Arcadia, Missouri, grandchildren; Tonia Naug Minks of Ironton, Missouri, Jamie Naug of Athens, Texas, and Michael Naug of Flower Mound, Texas, four great grandchildren; Blaise Naug, Kaleigh Naug, Teagan Minks, and Brianna Naug, her sister; Faye Gremore of Nevada as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her sister; Beatrice Marie Hawkins and two brothers; Willie Myracle and Floyd Myracle. Mildred was a graduate of Ironton High School. She was the bookkeeper for the Arcadia Valley School District for forty-four years. She was a member of the Arcadia Valley United Methodist Church. She was an active participant in many church activities and she was a past president of United Methodist Women. She was a Girl Scout leader and she enjoyed quilting. Mildred and Jim loved to square dance and were members of the Do-Si-Do's. They also enjoyed camping and spending time with friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Arcadia Valley United Methodist Church with Pastor Marty Blakey officiating. Visitation was on Sunday evening. Interment was in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Arcadia Valley United Methodist Church or the Arcadia Valley Alumni Scholarship Fund.
