Minnie Irene Coons

Minnie Irene Coons, age 77 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born on May 8, 1939 in Malden, Missouri, a daughter of Earl William and Jewell Irene (Miles) Stark. She is preceded in death by her parents, her former husband of forty six years, Donald Coons, brothers, Leonard and Denver Stark and sister, Audra Bergmann.     She is survived by her husband - William Thompson of Fredericktown; her children - Charles (Melissa) Webb and Michael (Samantha) Coons both  of Poplar Bluff, Donna Irene Coons of Fredericktown; Sister - Hazel (Troy) Gillihan of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren - Bobby Shepard, Michael C. Coons, Shanna Salisbury, Joshua E. Coons, Dustin A. Hall, Kristin Nichole Irene Coons; great-grandchildren - Kayden, Landon, Madalyn and Jaxston and several nieces, nephews and friends that she deeply loved.    Minnie was a homemaker, she enjoyed going to flea markets, thrift stores, yard sales and auctions; she also likede keeping up with her family and friends on facebook.  She was a forty year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Women's Auxillary. In the past she had worked at International Shoe Co. in St. Louis and had been a cook on a barge for Valley Lines.     A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Condolences may be posted on this website.
