He is also survived by his brothers, Garry Ratcliffe and Lyle "Ted" Ratcliffe Jr., and his sister, Patricia Ratcliffe. Monte was a man known for his selflessness, compassion, and a spirit of encouragement that inspired those around him.

Everyone who knew him could always count on good advice and knowledge and help with whatever the problem. Whether he was fishing or enjoying a game of pool, his zest for life was evident in everything he did. His family describes him as a pillar of strength and affection who always had a kind word and an open heart.

Monte Carl Ratcliff will be laid to rest in a burial service that reflects the love he brought to those around him.
