Myrtle "Sue" Becker

Myrtle “Sue” (Hepler) Becker of Arnold, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the age of 76 years. She was a cherished resident of the Baptist Home in Ironton, Missouri for the last 4 years. Sue was born on July 3, 1947, in Union City, Tennessee, the daughter of Perley and Bessie (Shapard) Hepler. Sue was united in marriage on May 22, 1965, to Homer Lee Becker. He survives and resides in Arnold, Missouri. Two children were born to this union; LaDonna Sue Pedersen (David) of Litchfield, New Hampshire and Edward Lee Becker who preceded her in death. Sue was grandmother to three grandchildren: Amanda Pedersen, Melissa Pedersen and Jared Pedersen. In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her son, Edward Lee Becker, and one brother, Rondal Meacham. Sue loved children and cared for many of them in her home for years. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Framed pictures and photo albums are full of frequent visits with them. Those close to her would describe her as an excellent listener, allowing her loved ones to be heard without judgment or criticism. During her private time, she enjoyed reading. She and Homer made their church home at First Baptist Church Arnold, developing lifelong relationships. Devoted to putting God at the center of their lives and family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Arnold First Baptist Church on Friday, December 15, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to The Baptist Home in Ironton, Missouri.
