Violet Nadine (Crocker) Duree of Middle Brook passed away June 3, 2012 in Fredericktown, Mo at the age of 91 years. Nadine was born March 12, 1921 a daughter of the late Millard Winfred and Iva Mae (Thurman) Crocker. On March 15, 1941 she was united in marriage to Johnnie Maxwell Duree who preceded her in death on February 3, 1986. To this union three children were born; David Duree and wife Catherine of O'Fallon, IL, Helen Duree Henderson of DeSoto, MO, and Rebecca Inman and husband Byron of Ironton, MO. Also surviving is her sister Margaret Lucille Allen of Ironton, ten grandchildren; Steve (Chris) Dunaway, Christine Dunaway, Nicole (Kevin) Duree, Randy (DeAnna) Henderson, Kelly (Shannon) Henderson, William (Dallie) Henderson, Dana (Steve) Pursley, Stacey (Ryan) Hitchings, Micah (Rachel) Inman, and Jonathan (Jennifer) Inman, 18 great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Sebastian, Xavier, Christine, Kevon, J.R., Jerrod, Bailey, Robert, Waelyn, Stephen, Lily, Chase, Carter, Nolan, Evan, Peyton, and Eli, and two-great-great grandchildren; Kalli and Jayde, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Nadine was preceded in death by two brothers; Harold Crocker and Earl Crocker, and three sisters; Mildred Brown, Thelma Ferguson, and Lorene Dettmer. Nadine was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Ironton, where she taught Sunday School for 22 years. She was also a member of the Priscilla Sunday School class and the Silver Eagles. She was postmaster of the Middle Brook post office for 27 years. She was also a merchant in Middle Brook and Pilot Knob for 23 years.
