Naomi Ruth Horton

Naomi Ruth Horton, a beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away peacefully at Camelot Nursing Facility on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on Wednesday, October 1, 1947, Naomi lived a life rich in love and dedication, weaving together the fabric of her family with warmth and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William “Willie” Edward and Edith Mae (McFarland) Franklin; her loving husband, Paul Franklin Horton; beloved daughter, Angela Horton.

Naomi is survived by her two cherished sons, Paul F. Horton Jr, and Bryan Horton of Viburnum; beloved sisters, Lille Porterfield, Betty (Rick) Skaggs and Linda (Larry) Rawson, along with other dear family members. 

Naomi found immense joy in her roles as a mother to her two sons, Paul Horton, Jr. and Bryan Horton. Her nurturing spirit was evident in the countless meals she prepared, always filled with love and laughter. Her kitchen was often a gathering place, for family to enjoy her meals. 

In addition to her culinary talents, Naomi was an avid quilter. Each quilt she crafted was a testament to her creativity and dedication, reflecting her love for her family and the cherished memories they shared.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Resume on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until service time of 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre.

 Naomi's life was a tapestry of love, woven together with the bonds of family and the warmth of friendship. As we reflect on the life she led and the legacy she leaves behind, we are deeply grateful for the time we had with her. Naomi will be greatly missed but will forever remain in our hearts, a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
