Norma “Sis” Claunch, 87, of Farmington, formerly of Leadwood, passed away January 25, 2016 at Camelot Nursing Center in Farmington. She was born December 4, 1928 in Frankclay, to the late Arthur and Blanche (Watson) Lawson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leadwood and she loved the Cardinals Baseball.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Claunch; three brothers, Curt, Paul, and Dale Lawson; daughter-in-law, Cathy Claunch; special niece, Tonya (Lawson) Siegel.
Norma is survived by her two children, Gary Claunch of Jefferson City, Bev Cooper and husband Jerry of Desloge; six grandchildren, Jon Straughan, Chris (Rachel) Claunch, Casey (Alena) Claunch, Cara (Darren) Edlen, Sarah (Rodney) Lawson, and Stephanie (Scott) Baker; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Billie Denton, and sister-in-law, Janet Lawson-Taylor.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bill Bond officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Leadwood.
