Norman Lee Clark of Belleview , Missouri passed away January 11, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. Norman was born May 14, 1936 in Parma, Missouri the son of the late Henry and Irene (Batson) Clark. On June 18, 1955 he was united in marriage to Rose Marie Askew who survives. They shared sixty-seven years of marriage even though he always told her to not plan anything for their anniversary because “not sure it’s going to work out.” They were parents to Cindy Clark Thompson who preceded him in death. Norman was also preceded by his brother, Charles “Bud” Clark and his sister, Easter Gist, and his great grandson, Brant Sanders. In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by his granddaughter, Brandelyn (Rick) Sanders and his great granddaughter, Audrey Sanders. Rose’s side of the family was important to Norman, and he is survived by her sisters: Patsy Price (Joe) of Belleview, Rebecca Wigger (Charles) of Courtois, Ruby McPeeks of Belleview, and her brother, Jack Askew (Connie) of Belleview. He was preceded by his brothers-in-law, David McPeeks, Perry Askew, and his sisters-in-law, Lucy Blankenship, Betty Keith and Alice Franklin (Oliver). Norman retired after working forty-seven years for General Metal Products in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a fifty-six-year member of the Masonic Lodge. His most recent lodge was in Caledonia. Norman played many musical instruments but he was especially talented on the banjo. He played for many years with the Ozark Mountain Trio. He was the owner of Peg Head instrument shop in St. Louis which he opened in 1969. In this shop he repaired instruments and did custom inlay work on them. Norman loved to fish. He always made sure his family was provided for. He was a man of few words but when he spoke you listened. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Stringer officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be in Caledonia Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Caledonia Methodist Cemetery Association.
