Mr. Norman Eugene Caringer passed away April 18, 2017, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital, Poplar Bluff, MO., at the age of 88 years, 6 months & 3 days. Norman was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Libertyville, MO., and was the son of Lemuel Addison Caringer and Mary Elizabeth 'DeClue' Caringer. Also preceding in death was his wife Connie Lee 'Dugal'Caringer (2009), as well as 6 siblings. Norman and Connie were united in marriage Dec. 24, 1952, in Farmington.

Norman was a US Army Air Corps Veteran and member of First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff. He enjoyed a successful career as Vice-President of Sales for Shaughnessy, Kniep, Hawe Paper Company. After retirement, he launched his 2nd career as a realtor with RE/MAX Real Estate. Norman was an avid gardener and outdoorsman who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren camping, floating, fishing, hunting and playing golf.

He was a wonderful father to 5 children who survive: Karen (& Lee) Kearbey, of Poplar Bluff; Katherine (& Robbie) Gibbs, of Wappapello, MO; Kristal (& Michael) Quimby, of Scottsdale, AZ; Craig (& Robin) Caringer, of Glendale, MO; Curt (& Cyrene) Caringer, of Poplar Bluff. 13 grandchildren: Lee Kearbey III, Kara Kearbey, Kelly Kearbey, Erin Simmons (& Lucas) Edington; Drew Simmons, Becca Briley; Beau Briley; Lily Caringer, Clayton Caringer, Casten Caringer, Cattarah Caringer, Heather Stafford, Elizabeth (& Jerry) Fields. 12 great-grandchildren: Whitney Kearbey, Mariah Kearbey, Elijh Bounds, Aliyah Bounds, Kaden Johnson, Mason West, Roman Edington, Audra Edington, Zoie Winder, Tucker Fields, Colt Fields and Shyloh Fields.
